Important Notice about NWZ-W202 Headphone-style Walkman® Players

Dear Valued SONY Walkman Customer,
Sony makes every effort to ensure that our products not only meet our own strict quality standards, but also support a positive customer experience.
It has come to our attention that a limited number of NWZ-W202 headphone-style Walkman players may experience performance issues following exposure to sweat due to sports or outdoor use.
We take all customer feedback seriously. While the device is not designed to be splash proof or water resistant, we have implemented additional safeguards to reduce the effect of sweat on the players.
We have determined that only a limited number of NWZ-W202 players experience the performance issue referred to above.
If you purchased in Canada an affected model of Walkman player (affected models listed below), and the player malfunctions during ordinary sports or outdoor use, please see the Resolution section below.
Affected Models
NWZ-W202B (Black), NWZ-W202P (Pink), NWZ-W202D (Orange), NWZ-W202V (Violet), and NWZ-W202W (White), Headphone-style Walkman Players.
Resolution
Until June 30, 2011, if an affected model purchased in Canada malfunctions in ordinary use due to exposure to sweat, Sony of Canada Ltd. will replace the player free of charge.
Proof of purchase must be provided by the customer to obtain the replacement player.
Please note that all warranty exclusions shall continue to apply to the affected models. For example, players that have been subject to abuse or accident will not be replaced.
