Great budget soundbar

I had to dispose of my very old 5.1 surround system and was wondering what to replace it with, domestic bliss called for a solution which did not involve tons of speakers. So I looked around at Soundbars, I didn't want to spend too much as soundbars were an unknown to me. I spotted this Sony Soundbar at under £100 and decided to try it. For the money it works very well, clear and clean sound delivery, even has a modicum of bass, speech is much better than the TV's speakers. Do make sure that you set your TV's speaker output to "external" or similar setting. I connected it via hdmi arc and when I switch the TV on it starts the soundbar automatically. I have had lots of Sony equipment over the years and they have all been reliable with good quality sound and vision. I have had this soundbar for 2 years now and if you don't want to spend too much then this soundbar is highly recommenced.

Great Sound, but Constantly Disconnects from TV

I’ve had this soundbar for about 2 years now, and while I really love the sound improvement, it does not like to connect to my tv. I have it plugged in directly via HDMI, but when I turn it on, the sound won’t play like 50% of the time. I have to power cycle the tv + soundbar or toggle between tv sound and sound bar, which is a bit annoying. When it works it works great, it just doesn’t always work

I bought this to work with a 75" LG TV which had terrible built-in speakers, and the Sony soundbar works great! Install was easy and no issues, and really helps out with the sound via the TV. I also use it for Blue Tooth audio via my phone, and once again, no issues and delivers good audio. For the price, I couldn't be happier.

Please try the steps below and test again:
1. Press volume + and check the volume level.
2. Check that all the cables and cords of the system and the connected device are firmly inserted.
3. Use a high-speed HDMI cable.
4. If the connected device supports the up-sampling feature, you need to turn it off.
5. Connect the soundbar to different devices.
6. Try playing different contents.
7. Unplug the soundbar from the mains for 1 minute, then plug it back in.

Doesn’t always Sync

Have been using it for 4 months. mmmm and still not 100% happy. 50% of the time the sound from the sound bar doesn’t always sync with the tv. Turning the tv and sound bar off and on again usually fixes the problem, but it happens many times when the tv/ soundbar don’t sync. Disappointing TV, Soundbar, HDMI all Sony?

The soundbar offers clarity and immersive surround effects, making movies feel more engaging. However, in certain situations, you may notice a slight audio delay compared to the picture.

2- Remove the soundbar's power cable from the wall socket and then plug it back in to complete the reset process.

Bought this a little over 2 months ago. I don't watch tv that often though but lately it is not making any sound. I can mute the TV but none of the buttons on the bar's remote will do anything or increase the volume. Very poor instructions to operate. I'm connected via the optical digital cable provided.

Sound Bar Helps me hear the TV

Sound Bar definitely helps me better hear the spoken dialog on my Sony TV. However the optical cable provided with the sound bar is very very difficult to fit into the Sound Bar. It took me forever. The input jack is in a very bad location. Please relocate the input jack!!
