No sound is heard from the Sony multimedia monitor.

NOTE: Some multimedia displays do not include built-in speakers. External speakers that are connected to the monitor must be plugged in to the monitor headphone output jack.
- Verify that the audio cable is connected from the audio output of the computer to the audio input of the display.
- Plug a set of headphones into the headphone output of the computer to confirm the computer is functioning properly.
NOTE: If no sound can be heard through the headphones, the computer is experiencing sound issues. Contact the computer manufacturer for further troubleshooting.
- Press and hold the Reset switch on the Sony® display.
NOTE: This will restore the volume and mute levels to factory default (as well as all other monitor functions).
- Verify the multimedia display speakers are working by plugging them into any audio source that has a compatible stereo headphone output.
NOTE: Examples are a portable cassette player, radio, or stereo.
If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required.  Go to Product Repair.
