Vertical black lines or picture noise sometimes appear on the recorded image when shooting a picture of the sun or an extremely bright subject.
When shooting a subject with a strong light source such as the sun, black lines or picture noise may appear on the recorded image. This is not a camera malfunction. This is called the smear phenomenon and is specific to the CCD or image sensor of the camera. To prevent this from occurring, do not directly shoot a subject with a strong light source. The image below is an example of smear phenomenon.
