How to pair the Rolly™ Sound Entertainment Player to a Bluetooth® wireless device such as a Walkman® player.
NOTES:
- Your device must have Bluetooth wireless built in or you must use an external Bluetooth wireless adapter.
- The Rolly Sound Entertainment Player supports the following Bluetooth profiles:
- Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)
- Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP)
This procedure will refer to the steps to pair the Rolly Sound Entertainment Player to a NWZA820 Walkman player with built in Bluetooth wireless. The basic principal is the same for most other devices and will require you to access the Bluetooth wireless menu of your device.
- On the Rolly Sound Entertainment Player, move the power switch to the BT [FIG. 1] position.
- Press and then hold the Play/Stop button down until the Play button lamp flashes rapidly in blue.
- Turn on your Walkman player and from the Home menu, select the Bluetooth option and then press the center of the 5-way button to confirm.
- In the Bluetooth menu, select Pairing, and then press the center of the 5-way button to confirm.
- With the Rolly near by (within 3 feet), in the Scan Peripheral Device screen, you should see SEP-30BT appear in the display of the Walkman player.
- On the Walkman player, press the 5-way button to confirm.
- You will be prompted to enter a Passkey. Enter 0000. You can do this on this model of Walkman player by pressing the right arrow button multiple times until 0000 is displayed.
- On the Walkman player, press the 5-way button to confirm.
- When the connection process is complete, the arms on the Rolly Sound Entertainment Player will both open and remain that way, ready to play music. You can now play back music on your Walkman player and it will sound through your Rolly Sound Entertainment Player.
NOTES:
- When trying to reconnect with the Rolly Sound Entertainment Player, the power switch must be set to Bluetooth and the power button must be flashing slowly. If it is not, press it two times.
- When the power has been turned off on the Walkman player, the next time you wish to connect via Bluetooth connection, you will need to establish the connection again (you do not need to pair again). If the Rolly Sound Entertainment Player is your only Bluetooth device you have paired too, you can just press and hold the Bluetooth button on the Walkman player to establish a connection. If you have other devices you are paired with and the SEP-30BT is not first in the list of devices, you will need to do the following:
- On the Walkman player, from the Home menu, select the Bluetooth [FIG. 1] option.
- In the Bluetooth menu, select Bluetooth Devices and then press the 5-way button to confirm.
- In the Bluetooth Devices menu, select SEP-30BT from the list.
- Press the 5-way button to connect.
