How to use the Intel® Graphics control panel to setup an external monitor.
- Connect the external display to the computer.
- Restart the computer.
- Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, under Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution.
- In the Display Settings window, click the Advanced Settings... button.
- In the Mobile Intel(R) Properties window, click the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile tab and then click the Graphics Properties... button.
- In the Intel Graphics Media window, click Display Devices.
- Under Operating Mode, click the down arrow and select the appropriate option.
NOTES:
- Select Intel(R) Dual Display Clone to display the same image on both the notebook LCD screen and the external display.
- Select Extended Desktop to display the Windows desktop across both displays.
- Under Primary Device, click the down arrow and choose the desired device.
- If using the Extended Desktop option, the orientation of the displays can be changed. Under Position [FIG. 1], drag the corresponding number of the display to the desired position.
NOTE: By default the primary display shows the Start button and taskbar and is located to the left of the secondary display.
- Click the Apply button.
- In the Confirm the Desktop Change window, click the OK button.
- In the Intel Graphics Media window, click the OK button.
