How to use the Intel® Graphics control panel to setup an external monitor.

    1. Connect the external display to the computer.
    2. Restart the computer.
    3. Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
    4. In the Control Panel window, under Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution.
    5. In the Display Settings window, click the Advanced Settings... button.
    6. In the Mobile Intel(R) Properties window, click the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile tab and then click the Graphics Properties... button.
    7. In the Intel Graphics Media window, click Display Devices.
    8. Under Operating Mode, click the down arrow and select the appropriate option.

      NOTES:

      • Select Intel(R) Dual Display Clone to display the same image on both the notebook LCD screen and the external display.
      • Select Extended Desktop to display the Windows desktop across both displays.

       

    9. Under Primary Device, click the down arrow and choose the desired device.
    10. If using the Extended Desktop option, the orientation of the displays can be changed. Under Position [FIG. 1], drag the corresponding number of the display to the desired position.

      NOTE: By default the primary display shows the Start button and taskbar and is located to the left of the secondary display.

    11. Click the Apply button.
    12. In the Confirm the Desktop Change window, click the OK button.
    13. In the Intel Graphics Media window, click the OK button.
