Depending on the camera, the recording time for an AVCHD movie is limited to approximately 29 minutes and the maximum size of an MP4 movie file is 2 GB. Therefore, recording is automatically stopped when 29 minutes of AVCHD video is reached or an MP4 file reaches 2 GB in size. This is normal operation.
- Not all cameras are capable of recording movies in the MP4 or AVCHD formats. Check the specifications or supplied operations guide. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
- Some cameras are designed to automatically power off when the internal temperature gets too high because of continuous video recording. If this happens, leave the camera powered off for a while so it can cool down.
- Continuous shooting time differs according to the recording media or the shooting conditions (e.g. temperature, etc.).
