If you get the message Waiting for Signal Input, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue.
- Ensure that all of the connections are secure and properly connected.
NOTE: When using an audio/video cable, make sure it is properly connected to A/V Line Out of the video device. If no input signal is detected, turn on the video device, and configure or operate it to start playback.
- Ensure the proper input type is selected.
- Verify that the source is from a supported device such as a camera, camcorder or video device.
NOTE: The recorder cannot record copyrighted movies or TV programs. Recording copyrighted movies is not supported.
- If no signal is detected, disconnect all cables. Turn the DVDirect and video device off, then on again. Reconnect the video device to DVDirect recorder and try again.
