Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.
- Disconnect the HDMI® cable from the camera.
- Turn off the camera.
- Turn off the TV.
- Reconnect the HDMI cable to the camera.
- Turn on the camera.
- Turn on the TV.
- If your TV only has a DVI port and you are using an HDMI-to-DVI adapter to connect the HDMI cable from the camera, there will not be any sound. This is because the DVI port on a TV only supports video.
- Not all camcorders are capable with HDMI connection. To see if your camcorder has HDMI output, check the specifications. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
