If the recording folders are missing when attempting to open and view them on a computer, follow the troubleshooting steps below to try to solve the problem.
- Make sure the Removable Disc icon showing in the My Computer or Computer window is really the camera. Disconnecting and reconnecting the unit will allow you to determine if it is indeed the camera.
NOTE: The camera must be powered on in order for the computer to recognize it.
- Configure the operating system of the computer to show all hidden files and folders .
- If the folders and files still do not appear, the files and folders might have been edited, might be corrupted, or have been deleted from the cameras's recording media or internal memory. Format the camera's internal memory and or recording media to create the folders needed for recording.
IMPORTANT: Formatting the recording media or the internal memory will delete all files, including protected images. If possible make sure files are backed up before formatting the media.
NOTE: If the recording folders now appear, then the folders have hidden attributes that should be removed .
