Memory Stick®, Smart Media and Compact Flash media do not appear when inserted into the computer.

Memory Stick, Smart Media and Compact Flash media may not appear if the USB Mass Storage Device in the Device Manager has been disabled.

1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel window, under Pick a category, double-click the Performance and Maintenance icon.
3. In the Performance and Maintenance window, under or pick a Control Panel icon, double-click the System icon.
4. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab.
5. On the Hardware tab, in the Device Manager box, click the Device Manager button.
6. In the Device Manger window, double click the Universal Serial Bus controllers icon.
7. Under the Universal Serial Bus controllers icon, click to select the USB Mass Storage Device icon.
8. On the menu bar, click Action.
9. On the Action menu, click Enable.

NOTE: If the Enable option is not available, select Uninstall , confirm removal, and restart the computer.
