There is a noise or the range alarm on the baby monitor keeps going off.
The longest distance you can place the receiver from the transmitter varies according to obstructions and other conditions. First, test the operating range with the assistance of another adult, or by placing a radio near the transmitter. If you move outside the effective operating range of the system, the RANGE ALM [FIG. 1] indicator will light and the buzzer will sound. Move closer toward the transmitter until the indicator and the buzzer turn off.
For better reception, try the following:
- Keep the receiver upright during operation.
- If battery operated, ensure fresh batteries are installed.
- Make sure that nothing touches the antenna during operation.
- Ensure the channel frequency of the transmitter and receiver are set to the same color combination.
