In some cases, a tape recorded on one camcorder may not playback correctly on another camcorder of the same format. When this happens, the video usually will only display when the tape is being fast-forwarded or rewound. This issue is typically caused by poor tracking or incorrect tape head alignment on the camcorder that did the recording and is an indication that the camcorder requires service.
IMPORTANT: To save the recorded video, dub the contents of these tapes to VHS or other form of media before sending the camcorder for service. The previously recorded tapes will not playback correctly in the camcorder after service has been performed.
NOTE: It is possible that tapes recorded in the Digital 8® format in LP mode may not playback correctly on all Digital 8 camcorder models.
