How to set static IP address or domain name and port number for NetAV.
NOTES:
- Please note that NetAV is for advanced users only.
- Users must meet the following requirements to use NetAV.
- Have at least 300 kbps of uplink and downlink bandwidth. Please check with your provider.
- Have a routable IP address. Users must have either a Fixed IP address or must register with a Dynamic DNS service.
- When using a home network, the users home router must support either DMZ or Port Forwarding.
- Sony does not offer a Dynamic DNS service. Sony recommends the service provided by ChangeIP.com, which can be found at http://www.changeip.com/locationfree/.
- On the top of the monitor, press the INDEX [FIG. 1] button.
- On the menu, tap the TV button.
- In the TV window, tap the center of the screen.
- In the TV window, tap the Settings button.
- In the Settings window, tap the Monitor button.
- In the Settings window, under Settings, tap the NetAV Settings button.
- In the Settings window, under Settings, tap the NetAV Connection button.
- In the Settings window, under Settings, tap the Static IP address or domain name of the base station. box.
- On the keyboard layout screen, tap the Select All button.
- Tap the domain name or static IP address.
IMPORTANT:
- Local IP addresses such as 192.168.0.3 will not allow NetAV to function when the monitor is connected to a hotspot or any other network connection other than the supplied base station.
- The dynamic DNS domain name must not have http://www. or www. in front of the domain name.
- Tap the Exit button.
- In the Settings window, under Settings, tap the Port number for the NetAV. box.
- On the keyboard layout screen, tap the Select All button.
- Tap the port number to be used for NetAV.
- Tap the Exit button.
- In the Settings window, under Settings, tap the OK button.
- In the Settings window, under Settings, tap the Back button.
- In the Settings window, under Settings, tap the Back button.
- In the Settings window, under Settings, tap the Exit button.
