Can a USB cable that is commercially available be used instead of the one supplied with the camera?
The USB port on the camera is different from ordinary USB cables. Only the supplied USB cable is compatible and can be used with the camera.
NOTE: If the supplied USB cable has been lost, a replacement may be available for purchase through Sony® Parts and Accessories Sales. Go to Parts and Accessories.
