These messages will appear if data that cannot be played back on the camera is stored on the inserted memory card.
IMPORTANT: If all the data on the memory card is not needed, you can format the memory card with your camera and use it again. Only format the memory card in the camera. If you format the memory card with the computer, you may not be able to use it with the camera properly.
Check the following to troubleshoot this issue:
- Have you modified the image data with the computer by using editing software?
The images may not be played back on the camera if modified and saved with editing software. Do not modify the images if you want to play them back on the camera.
- Have you changed the file name?
The file name format of the still images is DSC0xxxx.JPG (xxxx stands for any number within the range from 0001 to 9999). If the file names does not meet this format, the image files cannot be played back on the camera. Name the image files to meet the above format to play them back on the camera.
- Have you changed the folder or folder name where the images are saved?
Normally, image files are saved in the DCIM/100MSDCF folder directory. If you save the image files in a different folder or rename the folder to something else, the images cannot be played back on the camera. Save the image file in the DCIM/100MSDCF folder directory for it to be played back on the camera.
NOTE: The 100MSDCF folder can also be named xxxMSDCF, where xxx represents any number between 100-999.
