How to check performance using the Windows Experience Index.

1. Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel window, click System and Maintenance.
3. In the System and Maintenance window, click Performance Information and Tools.
4. The Performance Information and Tools window will list an overall performance score and the score on individual components.

NOTE: On computers that have been upgraded to the Windows Vista® operating system, the performance scores may identify components that, if upgraded, may improve performance.
