Check the following if there is no sound from the portable speaker when connected to the computer via USB connection:
IMPORTANT: Each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue. Check if you can hear sounds from the portable speaker after completing each step.
- Make sure that the USB cable is properly and securely connected to the USB port of the portable speakers.
- For the SRS-X9: Connect the computer to the USB B port of the portable speaker.
- Not all models are supplied with a USB cable.
- For the SRS-X9:
After pressing the USB-B button on the portable speaker, restart the music playback application on the computer.
For other models:
After setting the portable speaker to the USB mode by pressing the FUNCTION button, restart the music playback application on the computer.
NOTE: The button name and setting method vary depending on the model. For details, refer to the manual. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
- Stop the playback on the computer first before switching to another mode on the portable speaker. It may cause malfunction or damage to data when you switched to another mode while the music is playing on the computer.
