The login screen keeps appearing and preventing access to the YouTube app

    If you're unable to access the YouTube® app on your Android™ TV device because the login screen keeps appearing, update the YouTube app to resolve the issue.

    Note: It's recommended that your TV has the latest software for the best viewing experience. Downloads are posted on your model support page.

    Update the YouTube app through the Google Play™ store app

    Note: A Google™ account is required to install or update an app. If you don't have an account, add a Google account for your TV before updating the app.

    1. On the supplied TV remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Select Apps.
      Note: Depending on your TV menu, you may be able to easily locate the Google Play store without this step.
    3. Select the Google Play store app.
    4. Locate the YouTube app.
    5. On the YouTube app, it will indicate if an update is available, select it to proceed with the update.
    6. After installing the update, restart or power reset your TV.

    7. After the power reset is complete, access the YouTube app to confirm the issue is resolved.
