You can search for content or operate the TV hands-free when the "Ok Google" detection setting is enabled. Not all TVs support built-in MIC. Check your TV manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

    1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:

Note: You can also enable the built-in MIC if you press the  Google Assistant icon (Google Assistant) button or MIC icon (Microphone) button on the remote control or select  Google Assistant icon (Google Assistant) or MIC icon (Microphone).

    Using the built-in MIC

When you face the TV and say "Ok Google", you can use the following features hands-free:

Note: The Google Assistant or voice search with the built-in MIC requires an active internet connection.

When you face the TV and say "Ok Google", the LED indicator lights up in yellow. You can then ask about things such as the weather forecast, or ask it to turn on the TV.

    • When the built-in MIC is enabled, the LED indicator stays lit in amber. To turn off this indicator:
      1. Press the HOME button.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Device PreferencesLED indicator.
        • Select LED indicator
      4. Disable Built-in MIC LED.

You will also be able to use the built-in MIC when the TV is in standby mode.

    • This function will be available when the application is ready.

If the TV supports the Google Assistant, you can ask the Google Assistant hands-free. For details, check the Supported countries article.
