The Bit Rate of a Linear PCM Input Changes If I Enable eARC

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

The linear PCM signal resolution is limited to protect the content when eARC mode is enabled on your MASTER Series TV. For example, a 192 kHz 16-bit source linear PCM input signal from an HMDI® device is output at 48 kHz 16-bit.

Note: ARC mode doesn't limit the bit rate of audio signals from HDMI devices because it can be limited at the TV's internal signal processing, while eARC limits the output bit rate because theTV has no internal signal processing.
