ERROR 4057 or ERROR 22: Can’t access apps and services or complete a software update from the network for the KD X690E series

    If your TV displays either of the following messages:

    • Your TV needs a software update to access internet content.
    • System data cannot be found. Please check your network settings or connection.

    Follow the steps below to install a required software update.

    As an alternative, you can perform a Factory Data Reset and then install the software through the internet:

    WARNING! Performing a factory data reset will remove all customer settings in the TV including Google™ account settings, apps, channels, and wireless network settings.

    1. On the supplied remote, press the HELP button.
    2. Under How to use your TV, select Help Guide (Manual)
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Select Configuring the TV.
    5. Select Watching TV or TV.
    6. Select Right Arrow Settings.
    7. The next steps will vary depending on your TV menu options:
      • Select Device PreferencesResetFactory data resetErase everythingYes
      • Select Storage & ResetFactory data resetErase everythingYes
    8. Complete the Initial setup of the TV.
      IMPORTANT: Once the Initial setup is completed, wait 24 hours before initiating the software update.
    9. Activate a software update through the Customer Support Menu:
      • On the supplied remote control:
        • Press HOMEHELPSystem Software UpdateSoftware update (Check for a software update and install it on your TV)
