How to mute the WH-1000XM6 headphones

The mute function on the WH-1000XM6 is off by default and needs to be activated using the Sound Connect App.

Follow these steps to enable the microphone on the Sony | Sound Connect app.

1. Open the Sony | Sound Connect app.
2. Select your Device. If prompted, select your WH-1000XM6 headphones from the list of connected devices.
3. Tap on Device Systems.
4. Tap on Systems.
5. On the Systems screen, tap on Enable the headphone's microphone operation.
6. Turn On

Once set up, the microphone of the WH-1000XM6 can be muted by quickly pressing the NC/AMB (Noise Canceling/Ambient Sound Mode) button twice.
