Registering cover art images (Music Center for PC Ver.1.0)
You can register cover art images to songs, playlists, albums, etc. Then, the cover art images will be displayed on the WALKMAN®.
You can also register artist images and display them.
Hint
- If you import songs from an audio CD, music information will be obtained automatically via the Internet.
When cover art images are found, they are registered automatically. - The following file formats are supported for cover art images or artist images:
- JPEG format (File Extension: .jpg)
- GIF format (File Extension: .gif)
- BMP format (File Extension: .bmp)
- PNG format (File Extension: .png)
Obtaining cover art images automatically
You can obtain cover art images for albums or songs.

Click [Music Library] in the left pane.

Select an album or song from the song list to obtain the cover art image.

Select [Get Cover Art Image] from the [Tools] menu.
Retrieval of cover art images will start automatically.
When cover art images are found, they are registered automatically.
Note
- For some songs, cover art images may not be found, or the wrong images may be registered. In this case, register the cover art images manually.
Registering cover art images or artist images manually

Prepare cover art image or artist image that you want to register.

Click [Music Library]

Display the content to which you want to register a cover art image or artist image.
- To register a cover art image to an album or playlist:
Click [Album Cover Art].
- To register a cover art image to a song:
Click [Song Cover Art].
- To register an artist image:
Click [Artist List].

Drag and drop the image to the album, song, or artist.

Hint
- If you drag and drop an image to the cover art area while playing an album, the image will only be registered to the song that is currently playing.
- If you drag and drop an image to the cover art area in the top left of the screen while selecting several songs, the same image will be registered to all the selected songs.
Changing or deleting cover art images or artist images

To change cover art images or artist images
Drag and drop an image that you want to change to the cover art area. You can overwrite the image.

To delete cover art images
Click [Album Cover Art]
or [Song Cover Art]
, and select album or the song whose image you want to delete. Then, click [Edit] or right-click on the album or song to select [Properties]. Click the [Remove] button that appears under the image.

To delete artist images
Click [Artist List]
, and select the artist whose image you want to delete. Then, right-click [Register Artist Image]. Click the [Remove] button that appears under the image.
