How do I turn off the Xperia device protection?

Follow the troubleshooting steps according to the operating system in your device.
- Remove your Google™ account(s) from the device to disable device protection.
- Android™ 9, 10, 11, or 12
- Find and tap Settings → Accounts.
- Tap a Google account.
- Tap REMOVE ACCOUNT → REMOVE ACCOUNT.
- If this is the only Google account on the phone, you'll need to enter your phone's pattern, PIN, or password for security.
- Repeat the procedure for additional accounts.
- Android 8.x
- Find and tap Settings → Users & accounts.
- Tap a Google account.
- Tap REMOVE ACCOUNT → REMOVE ACCOUNT.
- If this is the only Google account on the device, you'll need to enter your device's pattern, PIN, or password for security.
- Repeat the procedure for additional accounts.
- Android 6.0 or 7.x
- Find and tap Settings → Accounts & sync.
- Tap a Google account.
- Tap REMOVE ACCOUNT → REMOVE ACCOUNT.
