The Turntable platter doesn't spin

Follow these steps if the turntable platter doesn't spin:

1. Make sure that the turntable is connected to the wall outlet.
2. Move the lever on the motor drive gear inward to allow the platter to spin.

   

3. Place the drive belt over the notched guide on the motor pulley.

   

   • Make sure that the drive belt is not twisted.
   • Don't forget to remove the ribbon you used to loop the drive belt.
4. Re-sync the tone arm with the platter.

   1. Press the UP/Down button.
      • The tone arm will be lifted off the arm stand.
   2. Spin the platter by hand, clockwise.
      • The tone arm will move toward the outer lip of the platter. Stop spinning when you hear a click.
   3. Manually move the tone arm by hand towards the inner part of the platter, then spin the platter again, clockwise.
      • The tone arm will hover back just above the arm stand. Stop spinning when you hear a click.
   4. Press the UP/Down button.
   5. Press the START button.
      • The platter should now spin and the arm will swing over the platter to scan for a record.
