Set the speaker playback quality to Priority on stable connection (SBC)
The playback quality (codec) of the speaker can be set using the Music Center app or on the speaker button.
Note: This article doesn't apply to Model SRS-XB10
Change the settings with Music Center
- Turn on the speaker.
- On your mobile device, tap the Music Center
icon to open the app.
- Tap the speaker type.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Other Settings.
- Tap Bluetooth Codec.
- Select SBC codec.
Change the settings with the buttons on the speaker
- Connect the speaker directly to a power outlet or use a USB AC adapter, or connect it to a running computer through USB.
Note: For Model SRS-XB12, you need to turn on the speaker.
- While holding the + (volume) button, press the
(power) /
(PAIRING) button until the
(BLUETOOTH) indicator flashes.
- If the
(BLUETOOTH) indicator flashes three times, the speaker is set to Priority on stable connection, and SBC codec is selected.
- If the
(BLUETOOTH) indicator flashes two times, the speaker is set to Priority on sound quality, and codec is automatically selected from AAC, LDAC, or SBC.
- If the
Is the issue resolved?
- Yes, the issue is resolved.
- Tracks recorded in high resolution may also affect the Bluetooth® communication due to its large capacity. Switch the playback quality (codec) to Priority on stable connection.
- No, the issue isn't resolved.
