Depending on the connections available on both your TV and camcorder, you can use one of the methods below to monitor the live view image from the camcorder on a TV while recording.
Using an Audio/Video (A/V) cable
If both your camcorder and TV have A/V jacks follow the steps below.
- Connect the yellow end of the A/V cable to an available VIDEO input jack on the TV.
- Connect the other end of the A/V cable to the A/V OUT jack on the camcorder.
- Turn on the camcorder.
- Turn on the TV.
- Tune the TV to the VIDEO IN input where the camera is connected in Step 2.
NOTE: There will be an INPUT or other similarly-named button on the remote control of your TV or the TV itself. - Begin recording with the camcorder.
Using an HDMI cable
If both your camcorder and TV have HDMI® jacks follow the steps below.
- Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT jack of the camcorder.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN jack of the TV.
- Turn on the camcorder.
- Turn on the TV.
- Tune the TV to the HDMI IN input where the camcorder is connected in Step 2.
NOTE: There will be an INPUT or other similarly-named button on the remote control of your TV or the TV itself.
- Being recording with the camcorder.
After following the steps for either method above, the live view image from the camera displays on the TV screen while the camcorder records.
