How to view the firmware version of the Walkman® player.
You can view the firmware version of the portable player even if the unit has been formatted, by viewing the information while connected to a computer. Do the following:
- Connect the portable player to the computer.
- Click Start and then click Computer.
NOTE: In the Windows® XP operating system, click My Computer.
- In the Computer window, click to select WALKMAN.
NOTE: In the Windows® XP operating system, WALKMAN will be in the My Computer window.
- On the menu, click File and then click Properties.
- The firmware version will be displayed in the WALKMAN Properties window.
