How to determine the amount of space available on the Walkman player using Windows Media Player or Media Go software.

    • Not all Walkman® players use the same software. To see if your Walkman player supports the software mentioned in this solution, check the specifications. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
    • A list of devices supported for use with the Media Go™ software is available at Media Go support website. The Media Go software may also work with other models of Walkman players not on this list. However, we cannot guarantee operation if they are not on the list.
    • If model-specific information is required to complete any of the steps in this solution, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

    Windows Media® Player

    1. Start the Windows Media Player 11 software.
    2. Connect your Walkman player to the computer.
    3. Click on the Sync button located on the menu bar in the software.
    4. The top right corner of the software screen will show the amount of space remaining on the Walkman player.

    Media Go software

    1. Start the Media Go software.
    2. Connect your Walkman player to the computer.
    3. In the left pane of the Media Go software, click to select WALKMAN: Storage Media.
    4. The Space Usage area will show the amount of space remaining on the Walkman player.
