Before You Start
Important Notes
- In order to install this update, it is necessary to have Digital Voice Editor software version 2.x installed on the computer.
- During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
Download & Install
Download and Installation Instructions
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- Download the DVE2_HI-CPU_UPDATER_E.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
- Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the DVE2_HI-CPU_UPDATER_E.EXE file to begin the installation.
- At the welcome screen, click "Next".
- At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
- When you click [I Agree], the starting installation dialog appears, and click [Next >] to begin the installation.
- When the installation is completed successfully, the installation complete dialog appears, and click [Finish>] to exit installation.
The installation of the Digital Voice Editor Ver.2.x High-Speed CPU Compatible Program is complete.
Confirm Successful Installation (optional)
- Browse to the "System32" folder in the "Windows" folder.
NOTE: This is normally "C:\WINDOWS\system32". - Locate the CDUSB.dll file, right-click the file, and then click the "Version" tab.
- On the "Version" tab, verify that the "File version:" is 1.1.0.10190.
- Locate the ICDUSB2.dll file, right-click the file, and then click the "Version" tab.
- On the "Version" tab, verify that the "File version:" is 1.1.0.11060.
- If either of the file versions are different than the ones listed, please download and install the update again.
