Before You Start
Check the firmware version
Follow these steps to check the currently installed firmware version of the unit.
NOTE: If the version is displayed as 1.12, you do not need to update the firmware.
- Turn the main unit "ON".
- Select "Settings" from the Home screen.
- Select "General".
- Select "Firmware Version". The current Firmware version is then displayed.
Download & Install
How to download the update
- Connect a USB storage device with a maximum 32 GB of memory (FAT16/FAT32) to your computer with at least 10 MB of available space.
NOTES:- USB memory with exFAT format is not supported.
- USB memory with over 32 GB capacity is not supported.
- Ensure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
- Download the update file to your computer.
- Unzip the downloaded zip file. There are 3 files (SLSO1120.FIR, SLMC1120.U88, SLDS1120.up6).
- Copy all 3 files to the root directory of the USB storage device that is connected to your computer.
- Disconnect the USB storage device from your computer.
Important notice
- Park your car in a safe place and start the engine to prevent the battery voltage from becoming too low during the update process.
- Do not turn off the unit during the update process.
- Do not disconnect the USB storage device during the update process.
- Set the date and time after the update process is complete.
Step 1: Install the update
- Connect the USB storage device to the USB port of the main unit.
- Select "Settings" in the Home screen. If you cannot find the "Settings" icon, swipe from the bottom of the Home screen, then from right to left.
- Select "General".
- Select "Firmware Version".
- Select "Update".
- If you cannot press "Update" (the "Update" button is grayed out), check the file structure of the USB storage device. The update files may be missing or not be saved to the correct location of the USB storage device.
- If the message "Please visit the support site and connect the USB device (with Update firmware) to USB port" is displayed on the unit, check the files in the USB storage device. The USB storage device may not contain the correct update files.
- If the version displayed is not 1.12, download the latest update file. You may not be using the correct update files.
- Select "Update" again. The unit will then begin updating. The update will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
Step 2: Confirm that the update was successful
- Turn the main unit "ON".
- Select "Settings" in the Home screen.
- Select "General".
- Select "Firmware Version". The current firmware version will then be displayed. When 1.12 is displayed as the "version" number, this means that the firmware update is complete.
If you are unable to update the firmware, please try again using different USB storage device.

Troubleshooting
The Update button is grayed out: Check that the files SLSO1120.FIR, SLMC1120.U88, and SLDS1120.up6 are properly saved in the root directory of the USB storage device.
The message [This data is not compatible] is displayed: The USB storage device may be defective or does not contain correct the update files. Erase the existing files from the USB storage device, or use a different USB storage device, and then repeat the entire download and update process from the beginning.
