Before You Start


Important Notes
  • Although this driver enhances compatibility under certain Macintosh® configurations, the following adaptor fuctions will not be available:
    • Write image data from a Macintosh® computer to the Memory Stick.
    • Change the name of files saved on the Memory Stick.
    • Delete the data in the Memory Stick.
    • Format (initialize) the Memory Stick
  • This driver is supported only under the following Macintosh® computer configurations:
    • Power Macintosh® beige model with the floppy disk drive equipped as standard
    • Pre installed Macintosh® operating system version 7.6.1, 8.0, 8.1, 8.5, 8.5.1 or 8.6.
    • QuickTime version 2.5 or later installed.
    • This driver is not for use with the PowerBook, iMac, iBook, Power Macintosh G3 (Blue & White), or Power Mac G4 models
  • Stuffit Expander™ version 5.5 or later must be installed on the computer to complete this update.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions
  1. Download the MSAC-FD1UTIL.SIT.HQX file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MSAC-FD1UTIL.SIT.HQX file. Two files (MSAC-FD1 Utility and MSAC-FD1 Utility.sit) will be extracted into the directory.
  3. Double-click the MSAC-FD1 Utility file. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
