    Unless stated otherwise, the file listed below must be installed BEFORE the Memory Stick® Voice Editor Update in order for it to work properly. If more than one Required file is listed, install them in the order presented on this page.

    It is necessary to install this update if Memory Stick® Voice Editor Version 2.03 software is not already installed.

    IMPORTANT: This file is only for use with the models identified. Not all models are sold in all countries.

    Benefits and improvements

    This utility updates the Memory Stick® Voice Editor software for the ICD-MS1 and ICD-MS515 to Version 2.04 and does the following:
    • Provides detection of Memory Stick® media extraction and insertion.
    • Resolves the issue where the device stops responding when adjusting the DPC during the playback of a 44.1kHz MP3 file.
    • Resolves the issue where the first and the second files are saved to a folder although it was the first and the third files that were actually selected to be saved.

    Before You Start


    Important Notes
    • In order to install correctly, this update requires that Memory Stick® Voice Editor Version 2.03 software already be installed.
    • For Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and Windows® XP operating systems: During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

    Download & Install


    Download and Installation Instructions
    1. Download the MSVE204EUPDATE.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MSVE204EUPDATE.EXE file to begin the installation.
    3. At the "Welcome" window, click "Next".
    4. At the "Read Me File" window, please read the information and then click "I Agree."
    5. At the "Start Installation" box, click "Next".
    6. At the "ReadMe-Notepad" window, either read the document or print it for later review. Click the X at the top-right to close the "ReadMe-Notepad" window.
    7. At the "Installation Complete" window, click "Finish".
    8. At the "Install" box, click "OK" to restart the computer.
    After the computer restarts, the installation of the Memory Stick® Voice Editor Version 2.04 Update is complete.
