    Benefits and improvements

    This utility installs the WAV Conversion Tool software which is designed to convert the OpenMG™ Audio format files to the PCM WAV format. Specifically, this tool is only for the OpenMG Audio format files that have been recorded through the MIC or LINE-IN (analog) input from a Hi-MD™ Walkman® device and uploaded to the SonicStage® software. Convertible tracks recorded through a Hi-MD device can be converted to the WAV format files using the WAV Conversion Tool software.

    Before You Start


    Important Notes
    • This update program is only for the SonicStage Version 2.1 or higher application. Please check the version of the SonicStage application that is installed on your computer before downloading and installing this update.
      1. Start the SonicStage program.
      2. At the SonicStage program menubar, click Help and then click "About SonicStage."
      3. Check the version number listed.
        • If "SonicStage Version 2.0.xx.xxxxx" or earlier is displayed, then install the SonicStage Ver.2.1 or later application before downloading this software. To download the latest version of the SonicStage application, please visit the Drivers/Software download page.
        • If "SonicStage Version 2.1.xx.xxxxx" or later is displayed, please continue to download and install this update.
    • For Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems only: During the installation of this upgrade, and to use the SonicStage v2.1 software, make sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

    Download and Installation Instructions
    1. Connect to the Internet, exit all applications, and disconnect your Hi-MD recorder from the PC. If the Simple Burner or OpenMG Jukebox icon is displayed on the task tray, right click on the icon(s) to exit.


    3. Click the "Go to Step 2. Software Agreement" link at the bottom of this page.
    4. Read the Software License Agreement and click "Accept".
    5. Download the WAVCOTSETUP11190.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    6. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double click the WAVCOTSETUP11190.EXE file to begin the installation.
    7. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for WAV Conversion Tool" screen, click Next.
    8. At the "Ready to Install the Program" screen, click Install.
    9. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, click Finish.

    The installation of the WAV Conversion Tool software is complete.
