    Before You Start


    Important Notes
    • If your computer is using Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system, ensure that the MSAC-USM1 adapter is connected to the computer before running this utility.
    • If your computer is using a Microsoft Windows operating system other than Windows XP, ensure that the MSAC-USM1 adapter is disconnected from the computer before running this utility.
    • If your computer is using Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating system, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights when running this utility.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

    Download and Installation Instructions
    1. Download the MSAC-USM1_DRIVERINSTALLER.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MSAC-USM1_DRIVERINSTALLER.EXE file to begin the installation.
      NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
    3. At the "Do you want to install the new color icon utility?" dialog, click "Yes".
    4. At the "Color icon utility has been installed completely!!" box, click "OK".
    5. Disconnect the MSAC-USM1 adapter and then restart the computer.

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the MSAC-USM1 Multi Slot USB Reader/Writer Driver is complete.
