    Before You Start

    Important Notes

    • Verify that there is at least 10 MB of free memory on the Rolly Sound Entertainment Player.
      1. Start the Rolly Choreographer software.
      2. Connect the Rolly player to the computer.
      3. Check the available memory in "Rolly Status View".
    • Before installing the firmware update transfer all tracks and motion files from the Rolly player to the computer, since the tracks and the motion files may be lost when upgrading the firmware.
    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.

      Notes:
      • Only English language versions of the operating system are supported.
      • 64 Bit versions of the operating system are not supported.
    • CPU:
      • For Windows XP operating system, 450 MHz Pentium® III or higher
      • For Windows Vista operating system, 800 MHz Pentium III or higher
    • Memory (RAM):
      • For Windows XP operating system, 265 MB or more (512 MB or more is recommended)
      • For Windows Vista operating system, 512 MB or more (1 GB or more is recommended)
    • Display: 1024 x 768 dots or better and High Color (16 bit) or higher
      Note: 256 colors or less may result in incorrect performance

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the SEP-30BT_V2_00.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and verify that the size of the SEP-30BT_V2_00.exe file is 3,189,728 bytes.
      1. Right-click the SEP-30BT_V2_00.exe file, and click "Properties".
      2. On the "SEP-30BT_V2_00.exe Properties" screen, verify that the "Size:" listed is "3.04 MB (3,189,728 bytes)".
        Note: The "Size on disk:" listed may be different. That is normal.
      3. If the file size is different than the "3,189,728 bytes", please download the SEP-30BT_V2_00.exe file again.
    4. Connect the Rolly player to the computer using the supplied USB cable.
    5. Double-click the SEP-30BT_V2_00.exe file to begin the installation.
    6. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation.
      Note: During the update process the USB connection is controlled by the update. USB connecting and disconnecting messages may be displayed, this is normal.
      WARNING!! Do not disconnect the player from the computer while the update is in process.
    7. When the completed message is displayed, click "Finish".

    Verify the Successful Update (optional)

    1. Start the Rolly Choreographer software.
    2. Click "Device Info", click "Tools" and then click "Rolly Settings".
    3. On the "Rolly Settings" screen, verify that the Firmware Version is 2.00.
