How to stop computer sound from playing through the speaker system or headphone amplifier

Follow these steps on the computer to avoid hearing computer sound from the speaker system or headphone amplifier:
- Open Control Panel.
- Select Sound.
- On the Playback tab, select Speakers (or other internal device), and then select Set Default.
By making this setting change on the computer, the speaker system or headphone amplifier will only output sound from software (Hi-Res Audio Player, etc.) which allows ASIO driver output. The system sounds and sounds from the browser will be output from the computer speakers.
