The Soundbar Turns off by Itself

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

The soundbar turns itself off or enters standby mode automatically after a certain amount of time. This is normal operation. This happens when the soundbar doesn't receive an input signal and not operated within 15 minutes.

    • This feature is to cut down the power consumption of the device.
    • This feature and the timer can't be changed.

If the issue occurs when there's an input signal, the signal volume level may be too low and the soundbar can't detect the source device. To troubleshoot this, follow the instructions according to your source device:

    • Set-top box connection
      • Set the volume level of the set-top box to maximum level and then adjust the volume on the soundbar
    • TV Headphone/Audio Out connection
      • Set the audio output to external from the TV sound settings.
        • If this function is not available, increase the volume level of the TV.

Note: Additional information on how to connect a soundbar to the TV is available.

If the issue still occurs after following the steps above and you verified that the soundbar is properly connected to the TV, the soundbar may need repair. Go to Product Repair.
