Can I add or remove apps on my Blu-ray Disc player?

You cannot download new apps to your Blu-ray Disc™ player. Each player comes with a selection of preinstalled applications. Please note that the VEWD TV Store, formerly known as the Opera TV Store, is no longer available on Sony Blu-ray Disc players.

FAQ about the My Apps and Featured Apps sections of the Blu-ray Disc player   

Can I add or remove apps from the My Apps section?

Yes, you can add or remove preinstalled apps.

Use either of these two methods to add apps to the My Apps section:

• Method 1
  1. Select + in the My Apps section.
  2. Select your favorite app from the All Apps screen, and press ENTER on the remote control.
• Method 2
  1. Open the All Apps screen and select the desired app.
  2. Press the OPTIONS button on the remote control.
  3. Select Add to My Apps to register the app to the My Apps area.

Follow these steps to remove apps from the My Apps section:

1. Press the OPTIONS button on the remote control.
2. Select Remove Application to remove the app from the My Apps section.

Can I remove apps from the Featured Apps section?

It is not possible to remove apps from the Featured Apps section.

Why are only a few apps displayed when I press the HOME button on the remote control?

This issue may occur due to a weak or intermittent network connection. Please check your network settings and connectivity. For detailed instructions, consult your product manual.  Manuals are posted on your model support page. .
