How to set the component video jacks to output an interlaced or progressive signal.
Follow this procedure to set the component video jacks to output an interlaced or progressive signal.
- Turn on the DVD player.
- Turn on the television.
- Tune the television to the appropriate video input to view the picture from the DVD player.
- On the DVD player remote control, press the DVD SETUP button.
- Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW button to select SCREEN SETUP .
- Press the RIGHT ARROW button.
- Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW button to select COMPONENT OUT .
- Press the RIGHT ARROW button.
- Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to select INTERLACE or PROGRESSIVE .
IMPORTANT: If PROGRESSIVE is selected even though your TV cannot accept the signal in progressive format, picture noise may appear.
NOTES:
- When PROGRESSIVE is selected, no signal is output from the MONITOR OUT jacks.
- When PROGRESSIVE is selected and the color system of the television is PAL, the signal is converted to interlaced automatically.
- Press the ENTER button.
