How to set the component video jacks to output an interlaced or progressive signal.

    Follow this procedure to set the component video jacks to output an interlaced or progressive signal.

    1. Turn on the DVD player.
    2. Turn on the television.
    3. Tune the television to the appropriate video input to view the picture from the DVD player.
    4. On the DVD player remote control, press the DVD SETUP button.
    5. Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW button to select SCREEN SETUP .
    6. Press the RIGHT ARROW button.
    7. Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW button to select COMPONENT OUT .
    8. Press the RIGHT ARROW button.
    9. Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to select INTERLACE or PROGRESSIVE .

      IMPORTANT: If PROGRESSIVE is selected even though your TV cannot accept the signal in progressive format, picture noise may appear.

      NOTES:

      • When PROGRESSIVE is selected, no signal is output from the MONITOR OUT jacks.
      • When PROGRESSIVE is selected and the color system of the television is PAL, the signal is converted to interlaced automatically.

    10. Press the ENTER button.
