How to turn the DEMO mode on or off for the car stereo

Not all Bluetooth® car stereo receivers are supplied with the same features and/or functions. If you are using a device that is not listed below, or you cannot turn off the DEMO mode following these instructions, check the specifications or the instructions manual supplied with the product.

XAV Series

• Follow any of these methods to turn off DEMO mode:
  • Method 1
    1. Press the HOME buttton on the unit.
    2. Touch Settings.
    3. Touch General.
    4. Touch Demo to set it OFF.
  • Method 2
    1. Press the HOME buttton on the unit.
    2. Touch Settings.
    3. Touch Screen Settings.
    4. Touch Demo to set it OFF.

MEX Series

• Method 1
  1. Press MENU, rotate the control dial to select DISPLAY.
  2. Rotate the control dial to select GENERAL.
  3. Rotate the control dial to select SET DEMO.
  4. Rotate the control dial to select SET DEMO-OFF.
  5. Press BACK to return to the previous display.
• Method 2
  1. Press MENU, rotate the control dial to select DISPLAY.
  2. Rotate the control dial to select DEMO.
  3. Rotate the control dial to select DEMO-OFF.
  4. Press BACK to return to the previous display.
• Method 3
  1. Press the OFF button on the car stereo to display the clock.
  2. Press and hold the SELECT button for two seconds.
  3. After the Setup display appears, press the SELECT button repeatedly until DEMO appears.
  4. Rotate the CONTROL dial to select either DEMO-ON or DEMO-OFF.
  5. Press and hold the SELECT button. The setup is now complete and the display returns to normal play/reception mode.
