    4. In the Register device screen, tap to select Learn from remote control, and then tap the Next button. Image
    5. In the Select the category of your device screen, tap the Category field and then tap to select the appropriate device category. Image
    6. Once the appropriate Category has been selected, tap the Next button.
    7. In the Tap the following remote control buttons... screen, tap one of the remote control buttons displayed on the tablet. Image

NOTE:  In our example we will use the Volume Up button.

    8. At the Edit buttons prompt, tap Learn remote commands. Image
    9. In the Learn remote commands screen, move the device remote control to the position illustrated on the screen, and once in place, tap the Start button. Image
    10. Now press and hold the same button on the device remote control that you pressed on the remote control buttons displayed on the tablet and, once pressed, move the remote around the upper-right corner of the tablet. Image

      NOTES:

      • Since we pressed the Volume Up button on the remote control buttons displayed on the tablet, we would now press and hold the Volume Up button on the device remote control.
      • Moving the remote around the upper-right corner of the tablet helps the IR sensor to receive and confirm the signal from the remote device.
    11. The prompt will change once the remote command has been learned.

      NOTES:

      • You should now see that the Volume Up button on the remote control buttons displayed on the tablet is dark, indicating that the button has been learned. Image
      • It may be necessary to repeat steps 9 and 10 until the remote command has been learned.
    12. Repeat steps 7-11 until all the desired device remote control commands have been learned.
    13. Once all desired remote control commands have been learned, in the Tap the following remote control buttons... screen, tap Next. Image
    14. In the Volume+Channels screen, tap the Volume+Channels field. Image
