Is it possible to record using an external microphone?
I recorded a video using an external microphone, but it is silent.
You can record with an external mic by connecting a mic accessory via USB Type-C™ or the audio jack. The mic setting will automatically switch to an external mic when a mic accessory is connected.
Note: Since the Audio jack of the Xperia® phone has a 4-pole specification; the 3-pole microphones are not supported unless the following is used:
- a 3-pole to 4-pole conversion cable/adapter, but there is no guaranteed operation for Xperia® phones.
