    Unless stated otherwise, the file listed below must be installed BEFORE the Rolly™ Remote Software in order for it to work properly. If more than one Required file is listed, install them in the order presented on this page.

    Firmware version 2.00 or higher is required to use the Rolly Remote Software.

    IMPORTANT: This file is only for use with the models identified. Not all models are sold in all countries.

    Benefits and improvements

    This utility installs the Rolly Remote software to allow the Rolly player to be controlled by the computer via Bluetooth® connection.

    Rolly Remote Software Features:

    The Rolly Remote software makes it possible to establish a Bluetooth connection between the Rolly player and the computer and perform the following Rolly functions from the computer:

    • Open the "Rolly Track List" to view the track titles
    • Select and play music tracks
    • Control the Rolly player movements in conjunction with the music
    • Connect to up to seven Rolly players at the same time

    IMPORTANT: The computer must be equipped with Bluetooth that supports the Serial Port Profile (SPP) specification in order to establish a connection with the Rolly player in the "Bluetooth control mode".

    Before You Start

    Important Notes

    • In order to use the Rolly Remote software, the Rolly player must have firmware version 2.00, or higher, installed.
    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.

      Notes:
      • Only English language versions of the operating system are supported.
      • 64 Bit versions of the operating system are not supported.

    • Memory (RAM):
      • For Windows XP operating system, 265 MB or more (512 MB or more is recommended)

      Note: 256 colors or less may result in incorrect performance

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the RollyRemoteInstaller_E.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the RollyRemoteInstaller_E.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation.
    5. When the completed message is displayed, click "Finish".
    6. Power off and restart the computer.

    Verify the Successful Installation (optional)

    1. Start the Rolly Remote software.
    2. Click "Help" and then click "Version Information".
    3. If the Rolly Remote version is 1.0.00.12050, the installation was successful.
