Important Notes
  • For the Windows 2000 Operating System Only: During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download & Install

Download and Installation Instructions
  1. Download the SONYLCD3.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SONYLCD3.EXE file to begin the installation. Please wait as the files are extracted to the folder where the SONYLCD3.EXE file is located. The .INF file for each of the listed models are as follows:

    • CPD-L141:
    • CPD-L181 and CPD-L181A:
    • CPD-L200:
    • CPD-M151:
    • SDM-M51:
    • SDM-M51D:
    • SDM-M61 and SDM-M61/B:
    • SDM-M81 and SDM-M81B:
    • SDM-N50 and SDM-N50PS:
    • SDM-N80 and SDM-N80D:

    A README-E.RTF file was extracted along with the INF files. This file contains the instructions to complete the monitor INF installation.
  3. Please follow the steps in the README-E.RTF file that match the operating system installed on your computer.
    NOTE: The README-E.RTF file instructions refer to a Monitor Information Disk (CD) as the source for the driver files. Please substitute the correct location of the extracted files, such as the floppy A:\ drive or a directory on the computer hard drive, for the Monitor Information Disk (CD) when following the instructions.
