How to customize the VAIO AV Mode Launcher settings.

    Follow these steps to customize the VAIO AV Mode Launcher settings.

    IMPORTANT: This information applies only to computers using the operating systems listed below this article in the Applicable Products and Categories section.

    NOTE: Not all computers have an AV Mode button. To determine if your computer has AV Mode, consult the operating instructions supplied with the notebook. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

    Several settings can be customized in the VAIO AV Mode Launcher window. Applications such as Apple® iTunes® software, Apple QuickTime® player, and Windows Media® Player can be added, and the names and icons of the applications displayed in the VAIO AV Mode Launcher window can be changed.

    Follow the procedure below to customize the special buttons available in AV Mode.

    1. Click the Start button and then click All Programs.
    2. In the All Programs menu, click VAIO AV Mode Launcher.
    3. In the VAIO AV Mode Launcher menu, click VAIO AV Mode Launcher Setting.

      NOTE: If VAIO AV Mode Launcher is not listed under All Programs, choose VAIO Control Center and then VAIO Launcher Settings.

      Depending on the setting to be changed continue with one of the following procedures.

      • Add an application.
        1. In the VAIO AV Mode Launcher Setting window, on the Launcher tab, next to Not Set, in the Name column, click the Edit button. Image
        2. In the Edit Application Information window, click the Browse button. Image
        3. In the Open window, navigate to the application to be added and then click the Open button. Image
      • Change the name of an application.
        1. In the VAIO AV Mode Launcher Setting window, on the Launcher tab, click to select the name of the application to be changed and then click the Edit button next to the selection.
        2. In the Edit Application Information window, in the text box next to Name:, type the desired name. Image
      • Change the icon of an application.
        1. In the VAIO AV Mode Launcher Setting window, on the Launcher tab, click to select the name of the application icon to be changed and then click the Edit button next to the selection.
        2. In the Edit Application Information window, next to Icon:, click to select the desired icon. Image
    4. Click the OK button.
    5. In the VAIO AV Mode Launcher window, click the OK button.
