The rear speakers produce no sound when connecting the soundbar or home theater system to BRAVIA 3 TV
When using a soundbar or home theater system with the BRAVIA 3 TV, you may encounter issues related to audio playback and app display compatibility. These problems can affect the sound output from rear speakers and the accuracy of playback information in the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app. Below are the details and steps to resolve them.
- If you play a surround sound source (such as a 5.1 channel) on your TV or a connected device, and then switch to a regular stereo (2-channel) source, the TV may still think it’s playing surround sound. As a result, the rear speakers on your soundbar or home theater system might not produce any sound.
Note: This issue occurs with both supplied speakers and optional ones. - If you are using a soundbar or home theater system compatible with the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app, the display may not correctly show the playback of the stereo (2-channel) source on the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app.
If this happens, turn off the power of the BRAVIA 3 TV using the remote control, wait for 1 minute, and then turn it back on.
