Enjoy 3D surround sound from your Google TV with a neckband speaker or headphones

For A95L, BRAVIA 9 (XR90), BRAVIA 8 (XR80), BRAVIA 8 II (XR80), BRAVIA 7 (XR70), BRAVIA 5 (XR50) series

    By connecting the Son ;SRS-NS7 or BRAVIA Theater U (HT-AN7) wireless neckband speaker or select headphones to your TV, you can experience the realistic sound of the 3D surround. You can also use the 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer app to capture and analyze your ear shape and then create your personal spatial sound field for even more immersive and optimized 3D surround effects.

    Before you start

    You don't need to connect the wireless transmitter (WLA-NS7) to the TV. If the transmitter is connected, the TV screen will prompt you to remove it and then connect the wireless speaker directly to the TV via Bluetooth®.

    Set up more immersive 3D surround on the TV

    To enjoy standard 3D surround sound, pair (connect) the wireless neckband speaker or headphones with your TV. Once paired, 3D Surround is added to the TV quick settings, and you can enjoy 3D surround without making changes. However, if you want to experience a more immersive 3D surround experience, follow these steps.

    Set more immersive 3D surround settings

    IMPORTANT:
    • You must connect your TV to the internet
    • You will need a smartphone or tablet to sign in to Sony's Cloud Service for Home Entertainment & Sound Products


    Note: The headphone model name or device name is displayed.

    1. On the Remote and accessories screen displayed after pairing, select Next.
    2. Select Optimized or Optimize now.

      Note: If you prefer to skip this step. select Don't optimize or Not now. You can set this up later by following the steps in Set 3D Surround settings later.
    3. Prepare a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet and follow the on-screen instructions to Sign in.

      Note: If the Select your account screen appears, select the account to use and follow the instructions.
    4. After signing in, install the dedicated 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer app and follow the app instructions to take pictures of your ears with your mobile device. When the measurement is completed, the TV screen will switch automatically.
    5. After completing the settings, select Play demo to start the demo.

    Set the immersive 3D surround settings later or make additional settings with another account:

    A more immersive 3D surround setting can be made later, or additional settings can be made in another account. Check the following for the procedure.

    • On the TV remote control, press the Quick Settings button.
    • Select Settings.
    • Select Display & SoundAudio outputBluetooth device settings3D surround device setting3D surround optimization or Hearing profile.
    • Select Add a hearing profile or Add.
    • Select Optimized or Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Enjoy 3D surround

    You can enjoy 3D surround using the Neckband Speaker or headphones.

    Note: 3D surround can't be used when sound is output from neckband speakers or headphones and the TV speakers or audio system.

    How to stop 3D surround:

    Turn off the Neckband Speaker, headphones, or the 3D surround from the Quick Settings. The 3D surround will end, and the TV will output sound.

    How to restart 3D surround:

    To use the Neckband Speaker or headphones again, press the Quick Settings button on the TV remote control and turn on the 3D surround.

    Note: If the TV already has the 3D surround turned on, you can enjoy the 3D surround by turning on the Neckband speaker or headphones. If you can't start 3D surround after turning on the Neckband speaker or headphones, turn on 3D surround.
