Your Google TV™ or Android TV™ offers more than just watching regular TV. For example, on your smartphone, you can install third-party apps from your favorite service providers, organizations, or game studios. This article briefly explains how you can download, manage, and troubleshoot applications. All navigation described in this article is done with the arrows on your remote control. Each action (OK, enter) is done by pressing the central button of your arrow keys.
Notes:
- This article applies only to Google TV or Android TV models.
- If your TV is not a Google or Android TV, it has pre-installed apps but can't download additional apps. For more information, refer to the article I can't find or download extra apps on my TV, and other troubleshooting tips for BRAVIA TV apps, which lists some alternative ways to get new apps.
- If you don't know your TV type, check whether you have a Google TV, an Android TV, or another TV type. Here's a guide to distinguish between them.
- If you're looking for information about a specific app, check the app service provider's support website. Third-party apps are updated according to the app developer’s schedule or discretion.
